Do you have plans for Christmas 2010? How about spending Christmas on the beach in South India? How about serving the poor onthe tsunami hit coast of Tamil Nadu? HOPE India runs a Centre of HOPE inPudupattinam, very close to Chennai.

We want to invite you to a “special edition” of the Hope Youth Corps from December 20th to December 30th 2010. We realize a lot of people cannot attend the HYC in the summer as it clashes with vacation dates in Asia and summer job plans for some. We wish to make it available to young people in Asia, Europe, Australia, and of course America. We would prefer the participants be sixteen years old and over. We also welcome adults who would want to accompany the participants. Chaperones are always welcome.

The good news is that we have been able to bring the price down to $600 all inclusive of local costs (food, accommodation, local transport). For local participants the cost will be even lower. Of course you will also have to pay for your ticket to and from Chennai. You may want to start looking into booking your plane tickets as prices go up later on in the year.
